Dr. Ilia Kolochenko 
CEO & Chief Architect, Founder
Dr. Ilia Kolochenko is a Swiss expert in cybersecurity, cybercrime investigations and cyber law. He is also a lawyer admitted to the DC Bar in Washington, DC. Starting his career as a penetration tester, Dr. Ilia Kolochenko has almost two decades of practice in information security auditing and digital forensics. After serving in Swiss artillery troops in 2007, he founded his first pentesting and cybersecurity consulting firm High-Tech Bridge. Already in 2014, Frost & Sullivan named the company a leading service provider on the European pentesting market. Later, Dr. Ilia Kolochenko invented and built the first prototype of ImmuniWeb AI Platform, which synergized the strengths of human intelligence with the speed and scalability of Machine Learning. In 2017, Ilia was named a "Thought Leader" by the prestigious SC Media Reboot Leadership Awards for this invention.
Today, as the CEO and Chief Architect at ImmuniWeb, Dr. Ilia Kolochenko leads our software engineers and data scientists who build the award-winning ImmuniWeb AI Platform. He has a doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science from Capitol Technology University, where he is an Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity Practice & Cyber Law since 2022. Dr. Ilia Kolochenko also has four Master’s degrees: MSc in Criminal Justice (Cybersecurity & Cybercrime Investigations) from Boston University, MLS from Washington University in St. Louis, LLM (Master of Laws) in Information Technology Law from the University of Edinburgh, LLM (Master of Laws) in Cyber, Intelligence & National Security Law from George Mason University. Currently he pursues his second doctorate – Doctor of Forensic Sciences (DFS) – at the Oklahoma State University. Dr. Ilia Kolochenko is a Fellow at the European Law Institute (ELI) and a Fellow (FBCS) at the British Computer Society (BCS).
In addition to his daily job that is his true passion, Dr. Ilia Kolochenko is actively involved in various community projects dedicated to cybersecurity, cybercrime investigation and cyber law. He is a member of the Europol Data Protection Experts Network (EDEN), GIAC Advisory Board and SANS CISO Network. Dr. Ilia Kolochenko also serves as a a Vice-Chair of the Information Security Committee at the American Bar Association (ABA), a Committee Member at the Boston University MET CIC (Cybercrime Investigation & Cybersecurity) Center, and a Member of Privacy Bar Section Advisory Board at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Additionally, Dr. Ilia Kolochenko is a CLE Program Faculty Member at the DC Bar in Washington, teaching “Cybersecurity for Lawyers & Law Firms” course.
Always thirsty for new knowledge, Dr. Ilia Kolochenko continually improves and hones his professional skills, holding numerous globally recognized credentials including GIAC cybersecurity and incident response certifications (GCFR, GDAT, GCPN, GPCS, GCSA, GCTI, GMOB and GLEG). Being a privacy law expert, Dr. Ilia Kolochenko is a Privacy Law Specialist (PLS) and Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) at the IAPP, holding Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US, CIPP/Europe, CIPP/Asia and CIPP/Canada), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) credentials. Additionally, he has several advanced certifications in anti-money laundering, sanctions compliance, crypto and financial crimes investigations (CAMS, CAMS-FCI, CAMS-RM, CAMS-Audit, CGSS, CCAS and CAFS) from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
Dr. Ilia Kolochenko frequently talks at international conferences, while his expert comments have been published in numerous global media including CNBC, WSJ, The Economist, Reuters, Fox News and BBC. He authored over 50 articles on application security, cybercrime investigations, cyber law and practical use of AI for the leading cybersecurity magazines, including CSO Online, Dark Reading and SC Media, as well as Forbes.
