ImmuniWeb Story
2014
ImmuniWeb’s story commenced in 2014, when its founders conceptualized an online cybersecurity platform where clients could instantly get high-quality application security services round the clock, 365 days a year without the unnecessary bureaucracy or ping-pong with salespeople.
2016
In 2016, the founders launched their first product under the ImmuniWeb brand: a web application penetration test that was easily configurable, purchasable and deliverable 100% online. Simultaneously, the founders started their experiments with machine learning and then-nascent AI technologies for the intelligent automation and acceleration of application security testing under human supervision. This hybrid concept received its first global award back in 2018 at the prestigious SC Awards Europe in the “Best Usage of Machine Learning and AI” category outperforming other finalists including IBM.
2019
In 2019, ImmuniWeb SA became an independent Swiss corporation, headquartered in Geneva. During the pandemic, while being self-funded and bootstrapped, ImmuniWeb introduced new products on top of application security testing, offering one of the first products that are now known as Attack Surface Management (ASM) and Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) tools. Since then, ImmuniWeb has built 6 award-winning products for 24 cybersecurity and compliance use cases, furthering its vision of simplifying and consolidating of application security and related processes.
Today
Today, ImmuniWeb has offices in Geneva, London, Washington and Dubai, serving over 1,000 enterprise customers from over 50 countries. The company has been profitable and cashflow-positive since its first year of operations, ensuring its independence of vision and value creation for customers by the founders.
ImmuniWeb Contribution to the Industry and Sustainable Future
ImmuniWeb’s Community Edition helps SMEs, colleges, universities and small municipal governments to test their cybersecurity, privacy and compliance at no cost, currently running over 100,000 daily tests. ImmuniWeb also contributes to sustainable development of the cybersecurity industry via its strategic partnerships with such organizations as the UN ITU, CyberPeace Institute, national CERTs and law enforcement agencies.

Our Board of Directors is comprised of independent and experienced industry practitioners who oversee corporate governance with help from our external financial auditors and Advisory Board.
ImmuniWeb Leadership
Dr. Ilia Kolochenko 
Dr. Ilia Kolochenko is a Swiss expert in cybersecurity, cybercrime investigations and cyber law. He is also a lawyer admitted to the DC Bar in Washington, DC. Starting his career as a penetration tester, Dr. Ilia Kolochenko has almost two decades of practice in information security auditing and digital forensics.
Stéphane Koch
Stéphane Koch is an independent trainer and expert who has been working in the digital sector since the mid-1990s. With a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Combating Economic Crime, training in telecommunications, and a degree in Public Relations, he was a member of the Swiss Public Relations Society (SRRP) committee for over 10 years.
Bertrand Kolb
Bertrand Kolb started his career in law enforcement in 1998 as a Swiss Police detective in Lausanne. In parallel, Bertrand was accomplishing his military service in Swiss Military Police. Bertrand holds a Master degree in white collar crime prevention and prosecution (MAS-CE).
William Weber
William obtained his university degree in economics and finance from Fribourg State University, Switzerland. He completed his Swiss Civil Protection service as an officer, managing rescue troops. William has an outstanding experience of over 35 years in corporate finance, managerial accounting, financial regulation and compliance.
Ekaterina Khrustaleva
Ekaterina Khrustaleva is a Swiss business executive with over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity sales. Holding a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance, Ekaterina accomplished executive programs on cybersecurity at Harvard University, on blockchain in Oxford University and organizational leadership at IMD in Lausanne.
Marsel Nizamutdinov
Marsel Nizamutdinov has almost twenty years of cybersecurity practice, particularly in application security. He has a BS degree with honors in System Analysis and Mathematics. Marsel is the author of one of the first books about web application security, published at the very beginning of 2005 and translated into two languages.
Jan Schreuder
Jan Schreuder is an independent consultant providing advisory and strategic consulting services to Management and Boards, specifically focused on Cybersecurity, Digital Strategy and Transformation. He also works with technology startups who have new and innovative solutions to help connect them with businesses who need those solutions.
Paul Wang
Paul is a Blockchain Enthusiast, Strategic Advisor, Cybersecurity Advocate and Member of the Advisory Board of Mt Pelerin and a university lecturer in Economic Crime Investigation. Mt Pelerin is a Swiss blockchain project working on the creation of a bank bridging crypto and traditional finance and the first company to tokenize shares on the blockchain.
Ranbir Sahota
Ranbir is an award-winning Public Relations Specialist. With a BA Hons degree in German and Russian, and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, she started working life at German manufacturing giant Siemens.
Shoichiro Tanaka
Mr. Shoichiro Tanaka is the Chairman and CEO of TANAAKK company, delivering a pioneering Growth-as-a-Service to innovative organizations around the globe. Mr. Tanaka started his first business in 2006 at the law school in the University of Tokyo.
Jake Kouns
Jake Kouns is the co-founder, CEO, and CFO of the Open Security Foundation (OSF), a non-profit organization that oversees the operations of OSVDB.org, DataLossDB.org, Cloutage.org and SECore.info. All projects are independent and open web-based databases that provide detailed and unbiased technical information on security vulnerabilities.
Brian Martin
Brian Martin has been studying, analyzing, collecting and cataloging vulnerabilities as a professional activity and a hobby for more than 15 years. Starting with a personal collection organized in the FILES.BBS format and ultimately becoming the Moderator of the Open Source Vulnerability Database (OSVDB).
